Senain Kheshgi is a Pakistani-American filmmaker who has produced, written and directed numerous television projects. Her first documentary, The First Year, co-produced with Oscar-winner, Davis Guggenheim, earned the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award in 2002. Senain later wrote, directed, and produced Project Kashmir, a feature documentary which aired on PBS’s Independent Lens in May 2010. Senain was a Tribeca All Access Fellow in 2005 and recipient of the Rockefeller Foundation’s ReNew Media Fellowship for Emerging Film Artists. She was also selected by The Sundance Institute to participate in the Documentary Editing, Composing and Producing Labs. Senain now serves on the board of the International Documentary Association (IDA) and Cine, an art-house movie theatre in her hometown of Athens, Georgia.
